-
Preheat the oven to 350°F / 180°C. Grease and line a loaf pan with butter and parchment paper and set on a side.
-
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In a mixing bowl beat together butter and sugar until creamy, then add the egg one at a time along with vanilla extract. Now add the plain yogurt and mix. In addition, add the flour mixture and the milk and mix until combine.
-
Remove less than a quarter of the batter in a separate bowl, and mix in the cocoa powder. Dissolve the instant coffee into the hot water and add to the cocoa mixture, mix until turned into a chocolatey batter.
-
Pour half of the white batter into the loaf pan, then add the chocolatey batter on top of the white, then pour the rest of the white batter on top of the chocolatey one, smooth the top. Take a butter knife, swirl deeply into the cake batter to create the marble look. Bake for 55 minutes to an hour and 10 minutes, or until a butter knife inserted comes out clean and the top are golden brown.
-
Let the cake cool down for half an hour, run a butter knife around the cake, then remove on a serving tray, slice and serve warm with coffee or tea.
