Grease an 6x6 inch glass dish with butter and set on a side.

Sift the besan, add in a large pan with 2 tablespoons of ghee at a time. Roast for 20 minutes stirring from time to time over medium-low heat. Add cardamom powder and powdered sugar mix and cook for 5 minutes.

Add milk powder mix over low-heat for another 5 minutes. Add another half tablespoon of ghee if the mixture is too dry, stir and cook until mixture thickens.

Pour barfi mixture into the greased glass dish, garnish with pistachios and sliced almonds. Let the barfi set completely before slicing and serving.
